Hey guys I'm doing some maintenance in the next few days. Oil change etc...basically a 50 hr service. Going through the manual it asks for the throttle free play to be checked. I got the measurement in the book but where do you take the measurement? The throttle lever is kinda wobbly so it wouldn't be very accurate there? I was thinking in the the throttle box. Where should I take the measurement?

I looked at the adjuster tonight and the jam but was loose so I may need to adjust it.

Let me know what you think

Happy new year!!

Btw it's a 12 sportsman

So what I tried today was removing the cover on the throttle box. I just measured the free play in the cable. There seems to be too much if you use the throttle lever its self due to the switch inside etc. Measurement was at 3 mills..(max limit)... Did I do this right or should I be including the switch mechanism in the measurement?
