Man, by the time I pay for all the damn specialty tools, first the clutch puller, and now the flywheel puller I might as well have sent it to Tinkerman to be rebuilt from the ground up! That said, is there an inexpensive alternative to buying a flywheel puller?
I'm a bit of a tool nut myself but it irks me to have to spend $ on a tool that i will almost never use, you know? I'm all about good tools but i just wanted to knowif there was an alternate way to get the flywheel off.
i dont know if you guys have it available in the US, but up here, Canadian Tire has a loan a tool program. great for tools that you hardly ever need. for me my general rule of thumb is if i have to borrow a tool twice, then i should buy one.
I know where im at Oreillys is free to borrow tools. Ive used all kinds of specialty tools from there. Just another place to check.
