I have a 2006 700 that I am putting in new rings. I have heard that you are not suppossed to oil the rings because they do not have much tension and they wont seat. This goes against all my 40 plus years of mechanicing but I know things are a lot different this day. I looked in the manual and it says nothing about oiling the pistons and rings before installation, soooooo. Does anyone know for the answer. Thanks for your help

sorry cant help you...im only a parts guy. i bet if you called some dealerships and asked this simple question, one of the service managers would and should answer this
