Tools and stuff for back country riding

New to ATVing and by the end of the summer I'll probably be heading out into some remote mountain regions for some back country trail riding, and I'm wondering just what kind of stuff/tools etc I should bring along in case of breakdowns/events etc. Short list so far includes a GPS (probably a Garmin Montana 650T), a tire repair kit, and courtesy of my Mom one of those satellite personal locator beacons, probably the ResQLink+ from ACR.

Any other suggestions for stuff that might come in handy?

We do a wilderness camping trip every year and I think we take about everything on the above list. A portable jump starter with air compressor and plenty of tire plugs has been invaluable. Also a snatch block has saved us a few times.

People laughed at me when I brought a window squeegee thing for my RZR windshield. But when theirs were covered with mud and I stopped in the middle of a water crossing and dipped the squeegee into the stream and washed my windshield they lined up to borrow it.

I also have a fairly serious first aid bag with tourniquet, quick clot and even sutures.

Also signal flares.
A couple welding rods, you can weld a broken tie rod with a welding rod and a 12 volt battery.
