Hello everyone, I’ve owned this 03 trailblazer 250 for a while and it’s been running great until last year when my brother was driving down the road and he said it died on him. He then said he it started back up and he drove it further (yeah I told him that wasn’t the best thing to do) but then it died again and it hasn’t started since. We took it to the dealer and they took a look at it and said it would be to much to fix. Compression is at 35psi. Over the winter I changed crank seals and examined the cylinder. No scoring or damage was evident and after crank seals were replaced still no compression. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Depending on how far out of spec the cylinder wall is or the cylinder (if at all) you may just need to replace the piston rings. They might be worn just enough to lose compression
