I acquired a 91 trailboss 350L. The engine is in really bad shape so I got a engine out of a 99 scrambler 400 I am putting in. I was just looking for advice on what all upgrades would be for this machine
Well, as with any combustion engine think of it like an air pump. To make more power you have to get more air through the engine. So start with a good aftermarket air filter and/or intake system, and a hi-flow exhaust. Always remember to make sure you have adjusted or upgraded your fueling in coordination with your other upgrades. Honestly on something that old, the biggest and most noticeable improvement you can get is to thoroughly go through the engine and rebuild the heads, put in new pistons rings etc if need be.
