What does SP stand for?

Hello Folks,
I have a 2017 Sportsman 570 Tourimg 2Up. It does not have EPS. Does that make it an SP? If so, what does “SP” stand for? Not even my manual specifies. If it does, I don’t see it.

Thank you.

SP = sub par...
Just kidding. I don't know that I've ever heard what the SP stands for. XP was for extreme performance, and Polaris was pretty vocal about that. The SP has the dual a arm front suspension, as well as more bells and whistles than the value model that has the front strut suspension. All SP's will have EPS, but not all value models will be equipped with EPS. The SP is the more expensive machine, and considered by some to be the better machine. Not all of us agree with that assessment, but that is for everyone to decide on their own.
Hahahah! Well. The letters work perfectly for that.

I do remember the salesman saying that there was another model with 14” wheels and 26” tires. He called it the extra value package. And I do know that EPS is Electronic Power Steering, which I don’t have. Just curious for the actual meaning.

I didn’t want the 14” wheels and i didn’t want the EPS. My main concern was for it to be a Tourimg so that my wife can I could both ride comfortably.

Thanks for the info.
Ok. Got this off of the Polaris website. Now I know what the extra features are but STILL don’t know what the hell SP means. I’ll just go with “SPECIAL PACKAGE”. Hahahah.

“Legendary Sportsman Touring 570 Features Plus:
High Performance Close Ratio On-Demand All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Standard Engine Braking System (EBS) with Active Descent Control (ADC)
Dual A-Arm Front Suspension with 8.25" of Travel
Standard Electronic Power Steering (EPS)ok.
New 26" Aggressive CST Tires with 14" Cast Aluminum Wheels
Automotive Style Paint with Custom Graphics Package”
Xp = extreme performance
Sp = sport performance maybe ?
That is EXACTLY what I thought as well.

I DO know that mine is not an SP. I have basic 12” steel wheels and no EPS. I don’t have hill-assist and engine aided braking. Mine is the base model 2Up.
