A 550HO how come they haven,t done this yet??

An Ace 570 at a great price would be great.

Maybe a scrambler 550? To rivale the renegade 500 wich is lackluster.

the motor won't fit in the xp frame...

1k sportsman will be the best quad on the market!

I see the sportsman 400 being replaced with the engine that's currently residing in the ACE. Also a Sportsman 1000 XP.

Maaaaaaaaybe the 800 being dropped for a 900 in the VL. IMO the 550's days are numbered, my local dealers don't even order them in anymore.

Pretty sure the 570 and 500 frames are VERY similar, could be wrong though. And yes on the 900 being borrowed from the UTV's, it would open the gap performance wise over the 570 compared to the current 800 in the VL.

Also, the 400HO Fuji engine being replaced is almost a given since Polaris seems to be going 100% in house with their engines. The Sportsman 1000 would be to compete with Can-Am Outty.

I'm thinking a redesigned Sportsman 650/850/1000 xp and drop the last of the Fuji engines from the value line to be replaced by in-house engines. Would be cool to see a mud edition Sportsman 1000 also...

I think the 900, even if detuned to 80hp, would be silly to put in the "value" line. The 1000 scrambler and sportsman would only have 9hp more...also, take a good look at the size of the prostar 900, it would be one hell of a tight fit.

if a 1000XP isn't out yet would the VL 900 get the XP stickers sense it's running with the biggest engine in the whole lineup? or will 850 maintain it's XP sticker status?

I think a big bore in the value line of around 60 hp. That would widen the gap between the current 800 and the 570 that's nipping at its heels. Could be a modified and updated version of the 800, or a new 700 etc. look at Arctic Cat, they have a new 700 with 60 plus hp in the new 50 inch wide Wildcat trail. Only a matter of time before they put that in their atvs I'm sure. And that motor smokes the 800 RZR.

 

[RVS Performance]

There are 2 different 1000 engines. One in the RZR that makes 107Hp, and the other in the Scrambler, which is an XP chassis identical to the 850 sportsman. The Scrambler 1000 engine is basically a bored and stroked 850. No way the 900 or 1000 from the RZR will fit in the ATV lineup. They are "The worlds tallest" engines I read somewhere. A sportsman 1000 will come along at some point. A smaller scrambler 550 could be in the works. Be an easy thing to offer with just swapping the 850 for the 550 in the existing machine. And I can see the new 370 replacing the 400 Fuji as the entry level ATV.

A 900 in the value line could be an option as it's basically just a twin 570, but I can't see them putting that much motor in the value line. Would make the XP line slower
