so i took my center cap off strut and out came some fluid, not sure what it was, is it still ride able?

Your polaris uses the old hilliard system - you have fluid in each hub and its leaking out. Id fix it before i use it.

actually its not leaking i just took it off, i researched it and it said i could substitute 80 90 gear oil for now

Hit up tsc or local farm fleet and buy Tractor hydraulic transmission fluid - it meets spec and is what hilliard calls for. 80w90 is too thick.

As polman said 80-90 gear oil is wrong ,synthetic ATF is what u want.Fill it up then turn the fill hole to 3 oclock position and let drain.Good to go.
