Hi. I asked this in another thread but didn't get an answer!!

On a 2001 scrambler 500, the middle oil line on the oil tank, which fitting on the motor does it connect to? Bottom or middle fitting?

One more question - the Polaris tech said you have to prime the pump. He mentioned that you have to pinch the air breather tube upon startup to prime. Is he talking about the air breather tube at the top of the oil tank?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's the tube at the very top of the oil tank. Pinch it between the tank and the slit.

Rather be riding, instead I'm using Tapatalk

Prime it only if you removed

lower hose to clean metal screen. Probably should at least the first time so you know what it looks like. Mine come out clean as a whistle so i don't do it anymore. I think the rather strong magnetic oil plug will catch magnetic particles but then again there is lots of aluminum in that engine. :cowboy:
