I haven't been able to get my 2000 magnum 500 to start! I did a compression test and it read 85PSI then I did a carb rebuild cause when I opened the carb the floats were dry. Checked my spark plug for good spark and the battery is strong and fully charged, also checked all of my fuel lines and pump.

When trying to take the belt off I thought that it was kind of easy to remove (too loose) when I took the belt off it seems to be in good condition so im bot sure whether the belt is fine or if it is stretched...

I uploaded these pics, if anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

From what I have read in the manuals, if the wide part (outside) of the belt is less than 1 1/8 inches, it needs to be replaced. There has been a belt deflections spec in some of the books, but that one looks like it is stretched! you probably shouldn't be able to move it that far.
