I was riding my 2000 xpedition 425. It was running great (about 5 minutes) and then suddenly abruptly died. I will say I did mistakenly l leave the choke on half way on. I thought it might be flooded so i let it set over night came back would turn over but noticed there wasn’t the normal buzz of the fuel pump. Ive tinkered with the wiring to no avail and have no idea where to go from here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Never really heard a diaphragm pump buzzing but, anyways....
If you suspect the fuel pump is not working did you test it? You can spray some starting fluid in the air box to see if the machine tries to start. You can pull the fuel line off the carb inlet and place in a jar to see if the pump is indeed pumping.

I don't know what you heard buzzing, but the fuel pump is mechanical (vacuum operated) and redundant if the fuel tank is full. Unless someone made a modification (which most are quite fond of doing) the fuel pump is not the problem and running with the by pass starter open will not affect it except at idle - above 1/4 throttle it is ineffective.

I suggest the spark plug may have fouled and needs replaced or at the least check for spark to rule out an ignition problem
