Will the wheel/tire combo be lighter with 12" or 14" wheels?

Do you have specific tire and rim combos in mind? Is it the same tire and rim in both sizes? If so, what tires and rims are you looking at? Also, what size tires are you considering for both sizes?

I'm using Bighorn 2.0 and Polaris Wheels.
I run 5 PSI in the front, and 6 PSI in the rear.

Depending on the trail types you ride, you may have to try different pressure settings to get the ride and traction you want.

Where I ride, it's a constant change of every element on the trail.
I think I started with the recommendation of 7 PSI. But if you come up on a sharp hard clay turn with a layer of sand on it, it would slide a little, which was not a comfortable feeling for me. Lowering the air pressure solved the problem.

On the back, I have the same width tire as you, 11. If you run too low of pressure like I have, and slam sideways into a deep rut, you may break the bead loose from the rim. Then you have to clean the sand or dirt off of the bead and rim to keep from having leaks again.

The BH tires and AWD turn that machine into a dirt flying, mud slinging Beast! You'll love it!

The 2.0 will be lighter in the 12" wheel.
I'm not sure how accurate their weights are, but if you look here, they list tire weights by size Maxxis ATV Tires : ATV Mud Tires : Maxxis Zilla : Maxxis Bighorn
From that website the originals are lighter in the 14s.
I'd assume the 14" wheels might have a little more weight than the 12s just due to having more material.

12s > 14s

More or less rim weights across brands are going to be relatively the same unless you get into the beefier beadlocks. Obviously a 14" rim of the same style will be slightly heavier then it's 12" counter part. As far as rim and tire combos the weight difference between a 12" to 14" will vary but will most likely be miniscule. What you really need to be concerned with is the tire weight and overall diameter of the tire. Those factors will be your number one power killers.

Bighorn originals on 12" wheels is one of the best atv tire/wheel combinations you can buy. I think the HTR is a better tire, but Bighorns are a close second. I wouldn't even consider the 2.0. Weight wise, there won't be enough of a difference that you would ever be able to tell a difference. This goes for 12 or 14 inch combos, assuming they are the same tires and wheels.

No trust me that's a good combo! What rims did you end up ordering?

No but sti makes a good product. I have heard nothing but good things about their rims and tires. I really like the look of those rims and very functional being a bead lock. You really have a nice tire and rim combo. When you get them in post up some pics in the wheel and tire section .
