Had what I believe is a fuel line break in two yesterday. Anyone ever have this happen or replace it? I believe it runs from the tank, down through the steering column to the carburetor. I know it's a 1/8" ID line but I'd like to just go to O'Reilly and by some fuel line instead of buying the Polaris fuel line. Here is a picture of the line I'm talking about. It's the yellowish one in the picture.

That's just the fuel tank vent line number 4 in the pic. It runs from the filler neck of the tank up into the steering stem inside the instrument cluster. You can get that line at most any hardware, small engine or lawn mower shop or from ebay.

Would that prevent the ATV from starting? My son was riding it and it suddenly stopped running and wouldn't start. This is the only thing I've found so far that isn't right. Also you say it's #4 in the picture. What picture?

1/8 inch line - ordered from Polaris you get a roll of 236 inches (6000 mm) for $27 - go to a hardware store (Lowes, Menards Ace) and buy whatever length of polyvinyl or polyurethane line you need (polyurethane will last longer than polyvinyl)

For the stopped running problem? Make sure it's got gas in it - the next step will be to check for spark - once you have verified gas and spark, it gets more complicated, but might be as simple as a bad connection in the wiring

It's running

Thanks for all the replies. I got it running. Lesson learned, always check the obvious first. It was a lack of fuel issue. I feel foolish but my son said it was running fine and then stopped. He showed me the broken vent line and I assumed that was the problem. Oh well.:grin:buttkick:
