Hi Guys

First time poster here. So 2018 sportsman 570 only when below freezing will not start. Battery tests good I have 12.8V to the starter solenoid and and no voltage out when turning key. Ground and power connections are clean and tight. I believe its a bad solenoid. Is this a common 570 problem? Any recommendations for a better aftermarket option? Thanks

Test/swap/replace the relays for the EFI. They had some shit ones.

If you do need a solenoid I had good luck with RMSTATOR.

Someone mentioned in another thread that his dealer's parts guy got him updated "cold weather" relays that are supposed to cure the problem. He didn't give a part number but I found a discussion about Polaris sleds having same issue and replacing with a 4016819 relay that is supposed not be prone to extreme cold no-starts. That part number does cross reference to the 2019 models so it must be an improved relay.
Those guys were saying if you have a no-start in extreme cold with the original relay to pull the relay out and put in your pocket or take inside to warm and then it will start. :dunno:

I was the one in that comment, ya like I mentioned in the other thread I got new relays from my local polaris dealer, they have seemed to fix it since I've put them in but I have only ran the wheeler about 5 times so far after that so no guarantees yet. I can check them if you need the parts number otherwise I'd just bring in one of your current relays and tell them you need an updated version and they should give you the shorter style relay.

Warranty ?????
Worth a try!!! I did read a guy tried to get them swapped under warranty but wasn't able to. I think the issue was the dealer couldn't replicate the "no start" issue.

After the dealership wouldn't cover mine under warranty I purchased one from them for like $17. It was the only one they had. My 2018 and wife's 2019 both needed them. I found an eBay seller that has a five pack for $20 plus three something for shipping. They took about three weeks to arrive from China but the savings were worth the wait as I wanted 10.

I have had the same issue with Polaris snowmobiles and my buddy who works at a service center has seen this on multiple vehicles. The problem is OEM Polaris doesn't generally use sealed relays you can tell the difference because a sealed relay usually has gold lettering on the top. NAPA carries them but from the sound of it you already got some, I had no start and gauge issues on a snowmobile in extreme cold and adding those sealed relays solved my problem.
