So I'm looking to replace the square pucks in my clutch with the rollers I got from DK offroad. While in there I was considering a clutch kit for more performance.

I've heard some bad things about clutch kits on the throttle by wire models and that they don't always perform as normal.

I don't run big tires, just 27inch itp blackwaters and don't really need more top end but maybe some down low and mid range power, can am style maybe. Anyone have this set up and done a clutch kit ?

All you need is a EPI Orange spring in the secondary clutch more low end take off harder and only cost less than $30.

 

Old post…. You wouldn’t happen to know what spring or set up would be best for running outlaw 2’s 29.5x9.5x14(F) 29.5x11x14(R), on a sportsman 850? Used mostly in the mud but do occasionally trail ride.

 

I put a Rvs clutch kit in. Smooth as butter but lost 0-60 mph. Slowed mine down quite a bit

Did a flash as well. Wouldnt do it again not worth the $$$

 

I went with a QSC from RVS and I'm very happy,unlike a lot of people I was looking for a softer engagement for trail riding so I can get over stuff without going into orbit.

 

Softer engagement is not what I think of when doing a clutch kit because when I put in to a stronger spring in the secondary the take off feel like I dumped a manual clutch .
I for one like it.

 

My secondary moves when it's not supposed to,has since I got the machine a year ago,I've tried every combination of secondary shims I can think of and can't make it right.
I'm wondering if it's binding on a bushing even though they looked ok and moved smoothly by hand.

How you know that your secondary is moving when it's not supposed to?
If you add shims to the secondary that does makes the spring stronger will up shift slower but if you think that it's then it would be difficult to up shift and down shift has well.

 

I have watched YouTube videos of people testing air filters and KN air filter was about has bad as not having a air filter at all.
Everything went through it.
