^^^I couldn’t begin to tell you how embarrassed I would feel caught riding that thing!
I agree! I’d rather be caught riding bi#!h behind one of my friends than be caught riding that thing . Who knows we may see the trails full of these some day with guys in pink helmets with butterfly stickers and bike shorts 🤣 not sure why these electric atv designs always look like something either a 3rd grader drew up or someone that’s never been off road in his life, designed .

Agree. Thing looks like a cross between a vacuum cleaner, riding lawn mower, big wheel, weed wacker, and probably sounds like a cake mixer.

The concept is great but the execution is not what we are looking for it may be good for work. It does have what I was talkin about four wheel Motors with no gears and the owner of the company said if need be can put enough batteries for 500 mile range.

It totally quiet because it has 4 wheel motors with no gears, the owner of the company said for law enforcement and military .

Well it's not the Sportsman I have been hoping for but it shows they're making progress and with 110 horsepower and 140 ft lb of torque it's impressive.

So in the Polaris video the Ranger has a maximum of an 80 mile range. I ride more than that on an average riding weekend day during the summer. The charge time it takes makes these a no for me on real trails and not around a farm doing farm work where a plug isn't too far away. I can gas up in a couple of mins and have the full mileage range back.

"Montana ranks first among the states in the size of its demonstrated reserve base, with 119 billion short tons of coal, and sixth in production at roughly 40 million short tons per year."

That is a lot of electricity.

I guess it may be ok for farm work or around the house where you can keep it plugged in all the time. But I can carry a Rotopax and take 5 minutes to refill a fuel tank. Or drop out of the woods and hit a gas station. Having to haul a generator everywhere you go and then burn gasoline anyway while sitting around a couple hours out in the woods to recharge your batteries just doesn't sound very amazing to me.
Sorry G, I'm just not even interested in such a thing.
Replacing batteries every few years at probably a couple thousand dollars a pop don't interest me much either.

The last thing i want on our farm is an ev. People would forget to plug it in or try to take off with it still plugged in. Last year we had a storm coming and were trying to get hay bailed before it hit. The ranger ended up hooked up to a 1200lb john deere hay rake so we could have two rakes going and a baler. It pulled that rake for 4hrs straight I dont see an ev ranger lasting long doing that. Maybe if i threw a generator on the bed.

I believe the tech will keep improving to where the EV with have better range and more power than an ICE.

Only problem I see is that the idea that plugging millions of EV's into the wall on a daily basis is somehow going to save the planet. You need to get power to the wall somehow. Its not gonna happen without fossil fuels.

I really don't think the US power grid is ready to handle a major surge in EV usage.

Maybe the govt has some kind of secret up their sleeve. They know how to produce electricity without "damaging" the environment. They just haven't told us yet.

Maybe buy some stock in your local power provider. Demand is gonna be going up

Its all magic Mike.
We'll shut down all the pipelines and drilling, eliminate all coal production and its use and just forget about those ole scary nuke plants. We'll all eat magic mushrooms as part of our vegan diet and have cannabis brownies for desert and everything will be wonderful. We'll all wear a mask everywhere we go, which won't be very far due to travel restrictions and since our EVs won't have much range and will take overnight to recharge. We won't be gathered in big crowds at church or family functions or holiday celebrations and we'll all have at least four booster shots per year so that when we do get the latest variant anyway our symptoms won't be so severe that we overcrowd the hospitals.
You won't have to work because the government will send you a check for how much they think you need. You won't have to educate your kids; the government will teach them what they want them to know. And no worries about saving for retirement. The government will take care of that too. They'll put you in a nursing home with the other old covid patients, so you won't have to linger around very long or worry about it... or cost very much. Just think of all the money saved!
There'll be no gun violence because all those instruments of death will have been confiscated. You won't have to worry about getting a speeding ticket in your fast new EV during your 200-mile trip because the police will have been defunded and nowhere around. There won't be any wars because our enemies will be talked to nicely and bribed and paid not to kill too many of us. That's good since many of our best warriors will have already been booted out of the military because they had the audacity to think they should be able to decide for themselves if they want to be experimented on like a lab rat and refuse to be injected with an untested vaccine.
Oh, and you won't even have to worry about getting to the polls to vote or showing proof you're actually a citizen and eligible to vote. They'll have ballot harvesters to come around to the nursing homes to vote for you even if you're not still alive. They'll have anonymous mail in ballots or maybe just Twitter or Facebook ballots that will be counted by top-of-the-line Chinese voting machines in a weeks-long process that is specifically designed to ensure that the "right" candidate gets elected every time. If you can't or don't want to vote, don't sweat it, there will be plenty of "undocumented" non-citizens and even folks in other countries that will be glad to get paid to vote in your place.
It'll be a utopia!!

Oh wait! We're almost there now.
Supply chains are slow and many store shelves are empty, so you don't have to make so many hard decisions about what to buy. Fuel and food prices are through the roof and if you don't have a vaccine passport or don't want to wear a mask or are just too scared to get out, you can stay home, throw another log on the fire and admire Hunter's artistic talents by candlelight. Or maybe you can tune in, if you can afford the extra electricity, to watch Dr. Falsey or Fauci or whatever his name is, while he gives you the latest update on what you need to do to protect yourself. That info will be different than it was yesterday, so you don't want to miss it. Maybe you can crochet a couple new masks (if yarn is available) for the kids to wear while they get indoctrinated at school and you can marvel at how much "progress" we've made in a little over a year. EVERYONE should think HARD about just how much "better" your life is now than it was a couple short years ago and how miraculous the transformation has been to the new and improved "built back better" America we are now living in.

Whew... I'm done!
