I'm approaching time for my 25hr "break-in" maintenance on my 2023 Sportsman 570 base model. Elsewhere here on this site I'm hearing that the OEM front gearcase fill plug is a bit of a PITA, and that a hex-head plug is easier to manage. I believe a Quad Logic part was recommended, but I'm a little concerned about ordering the correct part.

According to Polaris, PN 3234412 is the drain plug, and 3233942 is the fill plug. What are the dimensional differences between these? Can the drain plug be used as the fill plug?

drain plug -- Magnetic Drain Plug Assembly, Part 3234412 | Polaris Sportsman
fill plug -- Oil Fill Plug, 3/4-16 Hollow, Part 3233942 | Polaris Sportsman

Reason I ask is that Polaris says 3233942 replaces 3234414, and a search on Quad Logic for either of those turns up a drain/fill plug for Ranger 800 front and main gear cases (Ranger 800 Front Differential Fill and/or Drain Plug - Quad Logic) which they say "Replaces Polaris part numbers 3234412, 3234414, 3233794."

Looking on their site for Sportsman 570 parts only turns up the Drain Plug for 570 at Front Differential Archives - Quad Logic

So bottom line: Am I going to have problems using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084ZZTL8B/ as the Fill plug (which seems the same as the one listed in Quad Logic for Ranger 800 front & main gearcase fill or drain plugs)? (I'll probably order on Amazon because Quad Logic isn't responding to queries on their website, which seems to match experiences in a 9 year old thread on this site about them.)

I am on my 4th sportsman since 2012. I have never had a problem with the drain or fill. Just don't use a ball end allen wrench make sure and use a straight extension with a ratchet on the fill plug. Take the font tire off to get a straight shot on the fill plug. Only snug when installing.

What is your newest model year? I'm hearing it is an issue getting an allen wrench at it on 2021s+ when you have a winch (which is why I won't purchase/install a winch before this 25hr service). In either case, at $15/each, the QL drain & fill plugs are much less expensive than Polaris (at 2x and 3x the price) without jicky allen recesses collecting crud.

FWIW, the main gearcase drain and fill plug seem to be "Hex Plug w/ O-Ring, Hollow, Part 3233794" which the both the Quad Logic Ranger 800 front diff fill/drain plug and 570 Front drain plug claims to also replace. Seems strange Polaris uses 3 different part numbers (which collectively replace 5 different part numbers) across 4 different applications on the 570, for what seems to boil down to one part (3234412). It appears only one (front drain) has a magnet, but aside from that, what really is the difference between all 3 different Polaris Part Numbers, and the 5 PNs they replace? Is there any harm using magnetic plugs on the rear gearcase drain & fill, or the front fill plugs?

My latest one is a 2022 but I ride a 1000xp but I am pretty sure the plugs are the same. A couple of my buddies stripped out their plug using a ball end wrench trying to get to the plug at an angle. I was thinking of the 850 and 1000 bikes when I posted. It may be a different story with the 570.
