Handguards to fit 2011 XP 850 EPS models?

Has anyone found any nice hand guards aftermarket that fits the 2011 XP 850 models? We have tried the polaris ones but they crack out after awhile around the bases, they really needed some kind of support out at the ends with all that weight flexing on relatively small mounting tabs. Both mine and my brothers developed the same problem.

We'd like to find an aftermarket kind thats better, the type that has the aluminum bar where it wraps around and actually connects back to the end of the handlebar and then has inerchangable plastic guards that fit onto the bar is our first choice. The dealer tried to order us a set like that back back when we first bought ours but they didn't list the 2011 model XP's in their catalog, the dealer just assumed if they'd fit a 2009 XP500 that they would also fit a 2011 XP850 but when they came in they didn't reach around the end of the brake lever on the one side properly.

Has anyone since started making that kind that does fit the newer XP's?

Or found another good kind?

If so who made them, any pics to share?

Morning,
I bought a set of the Polaris guards and promptly returned them.. too big for my tastes. To me they look like catchers mitts...

A good friend has a set of KOLPIN guards. These are also nice and include mirrors. But the mounts are fragile and his have been broken. He made up better mounts ans now they are very good.

Next I bought a set of Power madd guards. IMHO Nicer than the Polaris but they mount using what I consider prime realestate on the bars. I couldnt get them so I likes them... I moved them to my wifes where they fit better and she likeld them.

Then I bought a set of ACERBIS ATX guards. I LOVE THESE GUARDS!!! They mount to the ends of the bars so NO loss of "real estate" and extra protection from the outside.

Thanks for the suggestion, those look like the stype we'd like, but I don't see a newer model Sportsman or XP listed in your signature. What model did you put them on? The guards that fit the 2008 and older models don't fit the 2009 and up XP's because of the positioning of the brake lever so if you have these on the 2007 in your signature they might be like the Moose models our dealer first orderd for us when we bought our machines and wont actually fit.

I'm hoping someone knows of a set they've tried on an actual 2009+ model.

Your correct, I do not have a XP. but my pop put a set of the Madd guards on his '10 550 no issues. You will have to adjust positioning of things but they will fit.

BUT Like I said, My preferance is the Acerbis. they mount in the end of the bar. So all you have to do is cut off the end of the rubber on your grips. NO adjusting anything!!

I don't know for certain. I don't have heated grips. But as long as you can cut off the end of the grip, (Grip only NOT bars) they will mount. If you have wires running thru that area, maybe not.

You can see the mounting better in this pic. That "end" slides into the end of the bars and expands as its tightened. Once tight, its VERY secure.
