Leaking coolant

Hey everyone...Just bought a 2014 sportsman 570. Couldn't be more excited...but...theres always a but. On the way home stopped at my old mans house to take it for its first spin he has acerage and few neighbors. When I was loading it back on the trailer I noticed ten to 15 drops of some liquid on the trailer. With some quick checking I found some coolant dripping from somewhere towards the top of the motor out of sight. Immediatley took it back to the dealer. They tightened up some hoses and sent me on my way. The coolant level in the bottle is slightly over the high mark. I am thinking that the incline going on and off the trailer might be causing some overflow. It is definitely not coming from the bottle. It is up higher and towards the rear a little. Also is coolant supposed to be flowing constantly through the tubes into and out of the bottle? Right now there isn't any coolant in the hose from the radiator to the bottle. That just seems a little odd to me. I could just be extra sensitive being that it is brand new. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should be good if they tightened up some clamps and what not. Take her for another spin just to confirm that. The tube to the overflow bottle will fill as fluid is pushed out of the radiator, as it draws it back in, it should keep the fluid in the tube. Depending on how much you rode it and how hard, you might not have worked it to the point where it needed to push fluid yet, so it hasn't "burped" it yet; can check that hose up near the nipple for the radiator cap and make sure it is seated good and isn't loose fitting. Continue to monitor after some harder riding and see what it is doing.

Get it to full operating temperature. Make sure you hear the fan running several times during riding. The dealer may have pulled the coolant lines completely off, letting air into the system. By riding it for a while, you will slowly force the air out of the system. Watch for signs of overheating tho, as air can get trapped in a cooling system and greatly reduce the systems ability to work. On a side note, the dealer probably put in a little too much coolant on purpose because they knew as soon as you pushed the air out of the system the level would drop back down.

MN570Rider, I started having the same problem yesterday. So you happen to remember what hoses or clamps the dealer tightened? Thanks!
