Bike has 16 hours on it. Yestuday it Would hardly do 55mph and sounded like it wanted to die.

Let it cool down, checked the oil and it was low ?

Pulled out the air filter and there was all my missing engine oil !

And now the bike smokes..

Anyone shed some light on this ?

I got warrenty and i guess ill have to bring it into polaris?

I did lay the bike over on its side for about 30 seconds likely why there is oil in the filter ? And the bike is smoking because the filter is full of oil?

Im hoping an oil change n new filter fixes the problem ?

Strange I have laid other bike's over in the past or wintched them straight up in the shop to work on them have never seen that happen before.

First, it will help if we know what year you are working on. I have to guess that it was running when you laid it on it's side? Even if it wasn't, the systems are designed to work with everything upright. I have seen machines stood on end in the shop too, Usually because someone stripped out the drain plug, but fluids were drained first. So if it got laid on it's side for even a short time, fluids go where they aren't supposed to. Wife tipped her 500 on it's side on the trail. I got it shut off right away but it took a bit for me to get it upright again. I found oil in the air box for a while after that. Never had an engine problem though. Betting your oil change and air filter change will help. Clean everything up well and try again. Keep checking the oil level and air box until you don't get anything in there.
