Scrambler won't idle at all????

I have a 99 scrambler 400, it was running great a month ago and now it won't idle. I rebuilt the carb all New, put new air filter on it, new reeds and gaskets, and a new spark plug in it. Still won't idle unless it's fully choked at all times. It still runs great but I have to keep the throttle open to run, once I let off it bogs down and stalls out. So I know it's not a fuel issue cuz it will run as long as I keep it throttled. Any ideas or solutions would be great

It seems to me that it is a fuel issue...Maybe not a supply to the carb problem, but if you have to have the choke on to make it run, then the carb is not supplying enough fuel to let the engine run. First check that the fuel pump is working right.

If you hold the throttle open a little bit, will it idle? If so, then check the ETC switch on the throttle housing. May need to adjust the cable. The contacts in there need to be open just a bit for it to run. If you have to have the choke on to make it run at all, then you are not getting fuel from the carb into the engine through the idle circuit. At idle, the carb uses all the jets to supply fuel. Maybe the pilot jet or main jet is plugged.
