Yeah so I understand the ETC now, why cheat it when you can fix it with that quick adjuster?

So , still stalls after the zip tie mod. Maybe I did it wrong .. zip tie blocked the contacts just like in the video. Still left me in a snow bank 10 times in the last week. Fuck this brand. The dealer is no help. I have zero complaints about this thing with exception to this stupid stalling issue. It stall's every time I plow. Even stalling once is too much. So instead of fucking around with this thing for one more minute. I am just going to do the Can AM mod or the Yamaha Mod next chance I get. Ill just keep restarting this pile of shit until then. Every single Polaris owner I talk to had had the same problem. Astonishing . Good luck everyone.

So I remember reading this thread last year and just went through it again. I'm with RonM and believe it's a fuel issue. His explanation sounds spot on. To add to that these newer wheelers are running lean from the factory to meet emissions. I remember all the overheat and "HOT" and burning right leg symptoms on the early model 570's. Sounds like BS to have to do this but if there is someone with this issue willing to give it a try give Ryan at RVSPerformance a call. I willing to bet dollars to donuts a re-tune of the ECU would solve the issue.

I agree it's a tuning issue. I'll be looking into that cost wise. It may be cheaper than losing money on a trade. I'll follow up if I have any luck. My toilet doesn't stall until its at operating temperature. And the colder it is outside the more it stalls once the engine warms up. Which again tells me its a lean tune. Then it follows up with the extended crank issue upon restart ,just like the ECU had pulled timing again... making it a tuning issue in my opinion.

Also, the machine won't be able to keep up with constant winch drags on the battery in cold temps

I cut out the area and mounted the biggest battery I could fit, I'm pretty much rubbing on driveshaft. But it finally solved all the same issues you have

Biggest doesn’t necessarily mean most effective. There are some small batteries out there putting out some crazy performance. Take a look around if it hitting the drive shaft bothers you.

I had thought the same thing as well , but assuming the voltage reading on the display is correct it never dropped out of the 13's . However increased storage would be a huge benefit considering all the voltage draw from hand warmers, winch , etc. The battery is b.s. in the long game I'm sure. But this wheeler was a problem literally from Mile 3 on. Even shitty original equipment has some time to offer a service life. But as I've said in the past , fuck this brand. I will never own another. To see this many end consumers deal with the same problem for production year after production year. That in itself shows you we are not a priority demographic. Maybe we need to spend over $30,000.00 at a Polaris dealer to get one that runs ?

570 is just not a good model for Polaris.. Build quality sucks... so many electrical issues.. I've owned many many polaris quads and this one was a miss.

Guess I lucked out with my 570/son’s 450 HO. No issues aside from 450’s Volt. Regulator quitting. Could be wrong, but they go on other brands as well. There are cherries and lemons. In ‘89 I bought a brand new F250. Over 220K and zero issues before trading in. Neighbor same time, same truck, was in and out of Dealership constantly. Sorry to hear about your troubles Gordyzero. Sometimes a bad start can be a great finish. Good luck.

Thanks Sportsman ! Glad to hear your wheeler's work. That's what I was expecting. Parts break, things wear out . I'm okay with a deserving repair. But throwing money and tunes at a brand new wheeler , no. I looked into a tune. RVS i think, $429. To fix the shit tune. Sorry , can't justify it . I rather put money down on a different brand. But thanks for the advice guys. I won't feed this thing another dollar or another minute. This problem has time vampire written all over it. No thanks. If anybody here thinks they can fix it and live near me , its for sale.

I get it!!! It isn't justifiable to have to go out and spend $400+ on a tune. But personally I think there are two issues the created this. One, the government and it's regulations on emissions. Two, Polaris pushing the HP envelope to the max on the 570. Somewhere in the chain of electronics the OEM tune isn't getting it done. Whether it's a lack of inputs to adjust the fuel map and/or a lack of outputs to adjust the motors operation (more crap to go wrong and $$$). With that said and because I got a great machine at a fantastic price I will be throwing a stage one RVS tune at my 570 when the factory warranty is up. I can justify that.

I've been away from the forum for a long time, but seems the issues for others are growing. I've learned to just accept the stall and when I upgrade to a UTV some day, Polaris will not be on the list. Has anyone else had luck with a fix?

I had the exact same issues which is why I searched this forum. I think I figured it out. The issue is snow shorting out the battery terminals. Once I realized this, I stopped driving over the deeper piles and have had no issues since. I was pushing snow and then lifting the plow slowly and driving over the 'bank'. Once I stopped doing this, I have not had issues. One time the snow was packed around the battery so bad, I had no battery power until I cleared snow off the battery, but usually it was just the temporary power loss to kill the engine and then it would start again. Operate without driving into snow too deep, and hopefully this works. Has been working for me and I had all the same issues listed in the thread (with a brand new machine).

That's not like my issue, I'm not in much snow and it happens even when pushing light stuff.
