Are they supposed to stay together? I read(maybe here) that they are supposed to stay together. They posted a drawing on why ,but now I cant find it
1 has a black plastic gizmo around it with female spade inside of it,The other has a piggyback spade

When you say "stay together" what are you asking?

Theres 2 orange wires
I believe they come from factory piggybacked.
Can they be split up instead of having them piggybacked together?
They both are switched and have 12v
But I thought I read somewhere that they are supposed to stay together, and just piggyback off of them

Link isn't working. They can be used independently. Depending on the setup you use the connector that suits the situation. Or splice in the connector that works.

Ok I understand the question completely now. So do not separate the orange with white tracer wires that are crimped together. You can use them as they are spliced together. If you do need a different type connector you can cut the factory one off and crimp the one you need on. Remember to remove the power source when working on that circuit and keep both wires crimped together.

OK,but why??I dont understand the wiring graph the link shows.
Both wirescare O/W.But one has the black plastic gizmo on it.
They are not crimped ,they were piggybacked .BUT,weather I did it or the dealer did it they have been separated for quite awhile. One has the hand&thumb warmer on it , and the other has the light bar on it
They both are switched with the key and they both have 12v.
Should I still put them back together as you stated and just tie everything into it?

doent that go to you key switch?? its powered up when you turn on if you have a accessorey just peal back the shrink tube and there is already a connector their just need a male end on your accessory and your all set../QUOTE]
Yes it's a keyed wire.
I just need to know Do they have to be together(2 orange wires )and why?

Ok its tough to tell. Bottom line if both wires have keyed power then they are independently feed. The wires in the diagram are spliced for the purpose of feeding additional accessories. So back to your wires, if both wires have keyed power then you can use either one. Can you take a pic and post it? What do you mean when you say piggybacked?

Ok got it. So what exactly do you want to accomplish here?

Totally understandable. See my bike is wired like yours, the two orange/white wires are powered when keyed. The wires in the diagram are spliced to power accessories down the line. Two different wiring set ups.
