used 2000 400 Scrambler

All, I just purchased a 2000 400 Scrambler. I have no owners manual, and was wondering if these ATV's came with electric start? (cn't find it). I can not get it started with the pull. I will begin to check for Spark at the various areas. This ATV was running, but has been sitting for a year or so. I would suspect, Plug/Coil/Magnito. Can you Please tell me if there are other things to check. Hopefully I did not go wrong for my $500.00.

If it has not been removed, the starter would be on the bottom of the engine at the back by the trans.
I think the starter control is like mine, you center the off/run switch on the left handle bar control and
then push up on the button. The starter should engage. I personally would drain the fuel tank, carb
bowl and all fuel lines put in fresh fuel and a new spark plug and go from there. Good luck, Buddy

Perfect, never would have found that. I was able to crank, and start this guy.

Most people can't LOL. I had some friends try to mess with me by planning to take off on it. Caught them in the act asking how do you start this thing.
