The vin number I believe is stamped on the left side of the frame between the oil tank and the pvt cover. You are right it's a 1995 Model. I will look on mine 2moro and find out.

On a 1995 model the vin number is located on a frame rail near the gear shifter or on the frame rail above the rh front tire, also its under the seat on the uppershock mount cross member.

 

I don't think Polaris used the 17 digit VIN until 1997 and after.

 

707 numbers is not a valid VIN# it shouldnt be a 17 digit vin either, it looks right, it just isnt. If you can get the right numbers together, i can confirm for you whether it is the correct vin or not

 

The vin # is on a plate on the frame rail just foward of the gearshifter. I just went and looked at mine. My VIN started with *232- - - - totaling 7 digits not including the * symbol.
